BandNineTerms of use
These terms apply when you use the BandNine app. By using it, you agree to them.
Practice, not an exam
BandNine is a practice tool. The bands and feedback it gives are AI practice estimates. They are not official IELTS results and are not issued, checked or endorsed by the British Council, IDP or Cambridge. Your real band depends on the test you take on the day.
Credits
A practice test or drill uses credits. Credits are consumable purchases: once bought or used, they are not refundable, and they cannot be exchanged for money. Any refund request for a store purchase is handled by Apple or Google under their own rules. If a test fails because of a fault on our side, the credits for that test are returned to your balance.
Plus
Plus is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews at the end of each period at the price shown in the store unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Payment, renewal and cancellation are managed in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not in the app. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Fair use
Use the app for your own practice. Do not try to get around the credit limits, copy the examiner's prompts at scale or interfere with the service. We may suspend an account that does.
The service
We work to keep the examiner available, but the service depends on the internet and on outside providers, and it may sometimes be unavailable. The app is provided as it is, to the extent the law allows.
